Ritual People:
Jana Zielinski

About the everyday life that remains hidden behind the pace of work, and the small rituals that give it balance.

What do you have to start your day with? And what, on the other hand, can you not imagine ending it without?

Maybe you make coffee before the first message. Maybe you need a few minutes of silence, a short walk, music on the way to work or a moment without your phone just before going to sleep. They are small things we often do automatically, without much attention. Yet we return to them every day.

Most of our rituals arise subtly and completely naturally. Gradually, they become part of everyday life without us realizing how significant a role they play in it. They help create a sense of continuity in moments when the pace of work accelerates, days begin to blend into one another and space for stopping gradually disappears. It is precisely these rituals that give our days their own rhythm, atmosphere and sense of individuality.

They are not created for others. And perhaps that is exactly why small everyday rituals fascinate us more than moments of success themselves.

Ritual People captures the everyday lives of people in moments that usually remain outside the attention of others.

A series of authentic video portraits from the worlds of design, culture, art and creative entrepreneurship follows the rhythm of their lives, the transitions between their work and personal worlds, and the moments that often remain hidden behind the final creation.

The project arose from the need to show inspiring personalities naturally and without stylization. Not through perfectly prepared interviews, but through the atmosphere of their real day in the environment where they live, create and think. It does not focus only on what these people do, but above all on the way they function in everyday life and what helps them maintain energy, focus and their own balance in an environment that is constantly in motion. It captures moments between work meetings, morning routines, short pauses during the day and small habits that help manage the pace of work over the long term.

Jana Zielinski captured for the first episode of Ritual People

The first episode of the series introduces Jana Zielinski, a prominent figure on the Czech cultural and design scene.

We meet Jana at her home on the riverfront, in the period just before Designblok, when the pace of work naturally accelerates and individual days gain an intensity that anyone moving in a creative environment knows well. But it is precisely in such moments that the importance of small everyday rituals stands out most. Not as a trend or a perfectly set routine, but as something that helps create a sense of stability even in a period of constant movement.

“Small rituals often bring the biggest results. And that is exactly what I enjoy about life,” Jana says during the interview.

During filming, we follow Jana in her naturalness. In morning moments at home, during work meetings and in short pauses between individual parts of the day. She talks about small habits that help her function over the long term, about the need for her own space and about why today the ability to slow down is often just as important as the ability to keep moving forward.
